Family Reunion

We are back from our family reunion in California visiting Dave's side of the family! It went by so quickly that I am glad we have some pictures to capture the moments that seemed to slip by almost without notice! The kids are changing before our eyes and it is always amazing to get all the cousins together and marvel at how much they have grown!

Cadan couldn't have been more thrilled to be at his Aunt Susie and Uncle Clive's...especially since their backyard featured a SANDBOX! It was hard to get Cadan OUT of the sandbox... he would wake up at five am and run to the door and say 'SIDE...A'SIDE (outside) and go straight to the sandbox...

Once we did pry Cadan out of the sand... he had a great time playing with his cousins! Oz, George and Cadan are close in age...Cadan being the youngest of the three and then Kai and Lucinda are only a couple of months apart! So fun to have cousins to play with!!

A little relaxing in the hammock

Playing playdoh with the cousins

Pap "P" and Kai having a heart to heart

Auntie Em catching up on some reading! Although Lucinda is the youngest, I think she may actually be reading the book to Auntie Em! Smart girl!!

Cadan exploring at the beach... he has NO fear of water, which instills great FEAR into me!

Kai is working on his abs! Thanks grandma for your help!!

Note the sandy Cadan sized handprint on Dave's shoulder...

So happy to be in the California sun!

Cousins Oz and George being buried in the sand!

Wagon ride!

Walking with the babies!!

What a refreshing time of catching up! How quickly time has passed!
Now we are back to the grind of things and trying to gear up for the fall!

Snapshots of today

Sometimes it seems you open your eyes and notice the beauty around you! It inspires you, it captures you and it energizes you. That is how I felt today while at the Columbia farmers market.

Something about the day felt inspiring... like I had neglected to notice the beautiful things around me..., and now the day was highlighted in a whole new way... and I was glad to have my camera in tow. So come take a walk with us as we enjoy the beauty in our own backyard.

If you have enough rainy days in a row, you begin to notice the sunshine around you.

The town square:

And of course the fountains:

So that is a glimpse into our day.

A penny for your thoughts?
