Too Big and Big Enough

Ah me, if I haven't blogged in a while it may be because I can barely kick up my feet for a minute before I realize something has gone awry... oh, just yesterday, Kai was drinking out of the dog bowls... not once but twice! Maybe it was because the four neighborhood girls were over and I was busy making soup and bread in the kitchen before I heard the unmistable clink of the dog dishes! Sigh. And Cadan, oh this child is all boy!! I mean, do ya really have to give your little friend a kiss that leaves teeth marks in the side of his head... I mean really!! Not to mention the fact that he can climb out of his crib and open the door to his room and proudly announce, "Hi mama!". If it weren't for the look of pure glee across those pudgy cheeks, I might just loose it! My friend, Lindsey, who also has two kids 12 months apart warned me that the 6mo/18mo stage was the hardest! Boy, I had no idea! You have to be on your toes! But let me just show you some examples so you can see for yourself the kinds of mischief these boys are getting into.

Kai, although not sitting well on his own, can pull himself up to standing... I almost had a heartattack when I found him like this:

He is getting to be too big!

Too big for the bouncer!

Too big to sit in the baby chair:

Too big to just take your word for it, he's got to figure it out for himself, trust me there is nothing under there!

...and Cadan, don't get me started on Cadan!!!!!!!

Big enough to have a girlfriend. (Shh, don't tell Hope's dad!)

Big enough to babysit

Big enough to do some consulting work on the side

Big enough to put on his own shoes

Big enough.

I mean, after all, he is almost 19 months!!

Whew, I am getting tired just thinking about it all!

Best get back to what's at hand before I have more to blog about!

Somehow my date order blog list skipped over this post! Weird!

But I'm so glad I've seen it b/c it cracks me up! How are our children getting so big?!

You have your hands full, for sure, but you also have them full of some pudgy cheeked cutie pies! :)

So great to have our Sat. morning this weekend!

Becki, I loved your blog. I'm glad Dave sends out the links cause it spaces my memory too often so I rarely get over to check on blogspots. Cadan has grown so big I hardly recognized him! Yep, you have your hands full for sure! That's why it's your full time job ;) I'm thinking I'll be ready to start our family next year, and the thought of it makes me smile. Life is good and God is even better! Miss you tons!!!
